Our free Rental Wellbeing helpline has launched!

At Ome, we recognise the struggles that many tenants face when renting a home, whether this is financially or simply due to the stresses that come with moving and securing your home. And we would like to support you as much as we can.

Our Rental Wellbeing Helpline for tenants has been developed to support those that may find themselves suffering mentally, physically, or financially without a clear path to turn to for help.

The UK’s unemployment rate is currently at its highest in five years, with over 1.7 million people unemployed (five per cent) due to the impact of COVID-19. A number of tenants have also been furloughed during the pandemic, which has resulted in them receiving only 80 per cent of their income and struggling financially.

This is an extremely worrying time for tenants who not only have to juggle the increasing costs of renting but may also be worried about the long-term impact this will have on their finances and living arrangements in the months to come.

Understanding these struggles, we offer a free Rental Wellbeing Helpline, which is available to all tenants that have signed up to Ome, whether that be through the website here or have downloaded the free Ome app.

For those tenants that are concerned about how they are going to pay their rent, or have any other worries around their current rental situation, our Rental Wellbeing Helpline provides expert support to help alleviate your rental concerns with practical advice and guidance.

The helpline is multifaceted to support the many different areas of life impacted by renting, including access to a free legal helpline to receive advice on any legal or debt related matters, as well as a free counselling and health information service for those who may be suffering with their mental or physical wellbeing.

The helpline offers tenants free access to advice on legal or debt related issues, but also a counselling service for those that are struggling with their mental or physical health during the lockdown.
